Mariam Nawaz Sharif is a Pakistani politician and the daughter of former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif. She was born on October 28, 1973, in Lahore, Pakistan.

Mariam Nawaz is the youngest daughter of Nawaz Sharif and Kalsoom Nawaz Sharif. She completed her studies from Lahore and later went to the United Kingdom for higher education. She has a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Punjab and a PhD in Economics from Cambridge University.



Mariam Nawaz started her political career in 2012 when she became the head of the Prime Minister Youth Program in Pakistan. In 2013, she was appointed as Chairperson of the Board of Governors of the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).

In 2013, she was elected as a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from the constituency of Lahore. Since then, she has been actively involved in the political scene of Pakistan and has been a vocal supporter of her father, Nawaz Sharif.

In 2016, Mariam Nawaz was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in connection with the Panama Papers scandal.
